Unacceptable subscription model

Buying this software is the equivalent of adding a never-ending monthly bill to your life, all just to use a logbook! The worse part is that if you upgrade, you will have to pay the subscription just to be able to add new flights, so be careful about upgrading. I can not imagine spending more than $2500 on logbook software over a lifetime (including initial and subscription costs). Ludicrous and very disappointing! This is NOT $2500 software!
